I mentioned in another description that these stummels with the pointed bottoms tend to run really nice, with fewer surface flaws and generally superior crosscut grain to many of the other Ligne Bretagne shapes. This one is no exception. The shank is lightly sandblasted, while the bowl is stained with an early version of a strong contrast stain that I use, and really shows off some beautiful bird's-eye grain intensity. The pipe was made in 2005, but is new and unsmoked due to being in storage since!
