Markings:"TALBERT MORTA", "Faite en Bretagne", "6C"

Another Morta Classic from 2006, this one has a little deeper bowl than the other one remaining available. The shank insert piece is cut from cumberland rod, which we did a lot with these mortas as it helped their long-term durability over the decades - I see a lot of mortas on the market these days that I look at and know, "Four years from now, that shank will be cracked". It isn't the fault of the makers, it's simply the brittle nature of the material... Morta pipes really need to have a different sort of mortise and tenon arrangement than briars to function their best.

**Special Note** There aren't going to be any more Morta Classics produced from Briere morta. I have some remaining stock of morta from the Briere, but I intend to use it for increasingly infrequent Talberts of a higher grade than this - They will be stamped Talbert Pipes instead of Talbert Morta, and have handcut stems made from swirled ebonite or custom-cast acrylic. In general, they will be higher-end pipes all around, and as a result of this fact coupled with their decreasing supply, they will also be a good bit more expensive than these. If you are interested in a Talbert Morta in this price range, I'd strongly encourage you to buy one of these last few from Pipe & Pint, because there simply aren't going to be any more Talbert Mortas for these prices.
